Ashley is a little beagle, a perfect lapful. She is very sweet and gentle and enjoys a cuddle, but she can also be quite energetic and playful. Her past was unstable and she was unloved. She was a stray in Ashland, MO, found by a hunter, but Ashley wouldn’t hunt. In his post to rehome her he actually threatened to just shoot her. Fortunately a good person quickly responded and got her to safety. Ashley is still very young, so her beagle curiosity and natural friendliness is already starting to shine in her foster home, whereas at first she was a little reserved. She is comfortable in her crate and will go in it and lie down on her own. Willie (also on our website) is in the same foster home and Ashley really likes playing with him. We think she would do well with another dog buddy,  but she might do fine as an only dog too. Ashley is spayed, heartworm negative and ready to go on sleepover.
